The images for my debut Poetry collection WEREWOLF CLUB RULES (out 14th August) have been coming in from illustrator/paper engineer and author John O’leary thick and fast. It been brilliant watching this collection come to life with each edit and new image and I’ve been so grateful for all the amazing work my publishers Frances Lincoln have done in getting the book ready for publication. Here’s one of my favourite roughs from John O’leary for the poem ‘You look like a rainbow” based on a memory I have from when I was about 6 years old. I came down stairs having proudly dressed myself for the first time only to be told by my mother “You look like a rainbow” – Thanks mum 😉
