Tewkesbury Library, Gloucestershire
I got a delightful surprise at Tewkesbury Library where a group were waiting for me amongst brilliant, BRILLIANT displays that had been created over the past weeks based on the spreads from mine and @swanbones #AYearOfNaturePoems @quartokids there were starlings hanging from the ceiling, a pond filled with frogs, a wobbly display of jelly fish and even a balcony scene complete with rain. An impromptu poetry reading had to be had! I could not pass up the opportunity of reading some of the poems in these wonderfully created scenes. The library has been working for a while now with arts and crafts using it as a way of doing outreach and encouraging people to read – their skills and experience clearly shows.
