Tower Hamlets School Library Service, Tower Hamlets

So this was a surprise join. The Tower Hamlets School Library Service is an amazing service that allows schools to not only borrow books but also props and items that may inspire a classroom. The SLS in Tower Hamlets was a treasure trove of books and items. I had the pleasure of exploring the SLS’s collection during a quick break between running celebratory writing workshops for the winners of the Tower Hamlets Writing Competition (which I judged with the brilliant author Andrew Donkin). It being a SLS they don’t usually give out cards but they found an old one for me so that I could become an honorary member of this fantastic service.
