Got exciting post yesterday, an advance copy of ‘How To Write Poems’ illustrated by the amazing Matt Robertson (out at the end of September) which is all good because this book represents 15 years of coming up with fun creative ways of getting young people to engage with poetry in the classroom including sonnets!
I may have to dip into this to run an upcoming sonnet writing session at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre for the Telling Tales Festival (28th-30th July). There are some amazing events on and your little poets can come and create sonnets with me on Saturday 29th July at 3pm.
